Having to abandon this site despite making it all so pretty pretty, making and refitting the looking oh-so-simple header, coding and recoding until the cows come home isn't something very nice to do.. but I have to. :)

Because this is getting too confusing.. WP and Blogger.. Blogger and WP.. Both of same URL.

So yeah.. Please take whatever you need from HERE (should there be any) before 20th May. That is when I will be shutting this blog down officially.. And please try to familiarise yourself with WP's comments over Cbox. Please relink your eT+WDL link to the WP one if you should please. :D

Ahhh.. have to reformat the banner to fit into WP's.. grr.. I'll do it some other day..

If there are posts that you REALLY have to import over to Wordpress (posts that are related to the trip) from over here to Blogger, there is a way. When there is a will, there is a way.

ALL IMAGES ARE ENLARGE-ABLE, PLEASE CLICK ON THEM TO DO SO.

Follow tightly! Anyway, I'll start off by the signing up just in case alot of us don't have a proper WP (short for Wordpress from now on) account.


1. Firstly, you definitely have to access the URL which hosts WP, http://www.wordpress.com/, if you don't know already.


2. Click on the (red-circled) green box which says 'Sign Up Now!' which will link you to the next screen (number 3).


3. Fill up the form accordingly to your liking.

By then, there should be a screen telling you that your account has successfully been created, and that you would need to visit the mailbox of the email address you provided to activate the account. The email title would go something like 'Activate yoururlhere.wordpress.com'.


4. After activation, access WP again. Sign in with your confirmed details at the Facebook-look-alike column which goes 'Already Hip?'


5. If all is going well, your account should already have been created now! :)

Register your blog at the same column.

Then, click on the blog (like the red-circled one) and you are ready to play around with your WP. Hee.


6. To IMPORT posts from Blogger, click on the tab 'Manage'.


7. Then, click on the sub-tab 'Import'. You should see 'Blogger'. Click on it.

PLEASE GRANT PERMISSION. DO NOT DENY OR THE PROCESS SHALL NOT CONTINUE.


8. Keep clicking on 'The Magic Button' whenever they prompt you to.


9. After a while (depending on how many posts you import), click on the 'Set Authors' button and your posts are safely (and successfully) brought over to WP. Fret not, the original posts in Blogger will stay where they are.

Lol. Please note that the slated 15may a wrong date, hope that it is not too late yet for you guys to absorb. It should be 14MAY, the CORRECT date that many should end their exams already and 14MAY is e-Learning day. CHECK DATES IN YOUR DIARY AND CHANGE.

Please spread accordingly! Thank you! Just remember meeting on e-Learning day, irregardlessly of the DATE!

Secretary for a day today, furiously jotting down points throughout the meeting. :)

Bites from today's meeting..
1. Bring your passport to school any day between 8may to 15may (yes that's during the exam period) for checking of validity, to any of the four teachers involved- Miss Chew, Mdm Ding, Mr Tan or Miss Tan.

2. Put 15may 14MAY in your dairy. 15may 14MAY (day after last exam for many) is e-Learning day. Please bring your parents down together with you to school at approximately 6pm (to be confirmed) and our principal Mrs Yap will be addressing them. It is of quite high an importance that you do turn up, because this is the day that your passport will be kept for good until we come back from the exchange, and the pack-list will also be given out on that day.

3. We will need to perform for our friends over at Shanghai, for their Childrens' Day celebration on 1june. Shang Wen Middle School has arranged two slots for us to perform, and ideally group performances. Like we've discussed today, there will be a Malay cultural performance headed by Nadhrah, and a cheer by us Sec3s who are dying to prove ourselves after being striked all-down by the Sec4s during the auditions. :P

4. Blogsphere! Since it is an exchange, it is expected that every individual has an own blog to document their daily life over there. Please create your blog now (for us without blogs. you can refer to a list of blog servers at the 'credence' column to the right of this blog. for first-time bloggers, Blogger is recommended as its codes are simpler to handle), and if you would like to continue blogging at your own blog you have already, so be it.

Please inform Miss Tan about your blog URL (like, this blog is http://www.etwdl.blogspot.com/) through Litespeed. You should know how to access by now, but if you don't, here's the site: http://elearn.litespeed.com.sg/Elearning_Platform/xfiles/login.modcgi .

Login with your NRIC number.


Click on the link below the Calendar. (red-circled)


Click on Create Message. (red-circled)


Select 'Teachers' from the left-est column, and look for 'Tan Sortin' at the right-est. Click on both. (red-circled)


Finally, do up your message and you're ready to SEND! (red-circled)

5. No need to worry about the telecommunications though. Some laptops will be brought over to facilitate the blogging process. We want it to be as close to the exact time as possible, you get my point right. Do bring along your own cameras to spice up your posts. Time will also be allocated to you to blog about the day. Pictures can also be retrieved from here, should you not be able to find a proper camera.

6. You will not be disturbed or touched so soon. If we should ka-jiao you, it's after the exams/ post-exam for the do-up of the performances. So STUDY HARD! To make sure that you will be able to enjoy the trip whole and not be brooding over your results when you go over. No tips for you all this time round. Bleh. JUST STUDY HARD & SMART!

7. O ya.. Mr Wong will be replaced by Miss Tan for those of you who don't know just yet. He said that he has some matters to see to.

Ohhhh we are all set on this glorious trip to Shanghai, where we will stay over there for 2 long weeks (oh mummyyyy) to establish some ties. They will receive us this year, and next year, we shall be some gracious hosts to them then.. Hopefully! We're gonna need lots of tea and coffee!

Be prepared to be shot (P/S.. I do mean) snapped anytime, so long you're with us on this voyage to find an overseas friend. We'll be starting to take pictures from the next meetings/briefings/introductories onwards (before the exchange), to while we are over there (during the trip), and after the exchange (until maybe we present to the school, you think?) I shall make good my word when I say food for thought all the way :P

So yes are you READY? :)

Let's promise to leave here until the next meeting comes up and I confirm with Ms Chew everything.. Meanwhile it's endless Chemistry revision yeah. :)
